(sigil unicode case)
Unicode simple case mappings as data
Upper case, lower case and simple case folding for single code points, the same on every backend. char-upcase and char-downcase call the C library, whose answers depend on the libc and the locale; these do not.
Generated by scripts/generate-unicode-case.go from Go's unicode package. Do not edit; regenerate. Unicode 15.0.0. Ranges: upper 182, lower 168, fold 321.

unicode-upcaseprocedureThe simple upper-case mapping of code point C (an integer), or C when it has none. Single code points only: the German sharp s (U+00DF) maps to itself, not to "SS".
(unicode-upcase 233) ; => 201, é to Éunicode-downcaseprocedureThe simple lower-case mapping of code point C, or C when it has none.
unicode-simple-foldprocedureThe next code point after C in C's case-folding orbit, wrapping to the smallest, or C itself when C has no other case. Applying it repeatedly visits the whole orbit in increasing order: K (75) -> k (107) -> KELVIN SIGN (8490) -> K (75). Matches Go's unicode.SimpleFold, which RE2 and Go use for case-insensitive matching.
